Hi,
I'm Lyle Vanhook a descendant of the Phebus clan as a result of the marriage of
Nancy Phebus, daughter of Samuel Phebus, to Thomas Vanhook. They were married in Pickaway County, Ohio in 1814.

After starting their family in Ohio, they emigrated to Indiana and pioneered the settling of Fountain County. They had seven children in all.
Many of the others of the Phebus family also lived in that area and later moved to Illinois and other places.

I have researched these family names for sometime and would be glad to exchange information woth others with a like interest.

I am retired presently in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas to where I moved from Illinois. Your contacts will be appreciated.
