The National Geneological Society shows the following:
3rd Generation John Chisholm & Elizabeth Bradley, Caroline. Va.
4th Generation John Chisholm "of Amelia" & Ellender Guillentine
5th Generation James E. Chism & Barbara Estes, Rogers
6th Generation James E. Chism, Jr. & Mary Howard M abt 1778
7th Generation George Chism & Rebecca Gist M 1801

Some have accepted my George Washington Chism as the son of the above. However, the dates do not match as George Washington Chism was born in
1798. For the above to be true he would have had to be born out of wedlock or George Chism had a wife before Rebecca Gist. Guess the dates on their marriage could be wrong, but know that George Washington Chism was born in 1798 from copy of his family Bible.

Anyone have any ideas about this puzzle?
