I wonder if anyone can give me a clue on the surname Adamberith. Peter Adamberith settled in Gibraltar around 1800. Parish records show that he was a native of Koln in Germany. (That as much as I know). It could be the spanish priest of the day put his own interpratation of this German surname down. Two generations later the name changed to Adamberry. I have looked up the cenus records in Gib, but no records of him found. He certainly stay in Gibraltar for many years has seven of his children were born there. If anyone out there can give me a few pointers where to go next I will be most grateful
