Hi Diana,
I don't have any real information regarding your mother's surname other than it sounds English.
I am American, but my immediate family is also from Colombia. I've traced my last name "Schuster" all the way back to Europe. It derives from Germany and means "Cobbler, Shoe Maker or Zapatero". My grand parents migrated from Europe shortly after World War 2.
Actualmente, yo conosco muchos amigos de pieses latin que tambien tienen appelledos estranheros.
Me gustaria segir comunication con usted.
: I am triying to trace the origin of my mother's surname: Russill.
: We are colombians and live in Venezuela. In both countries the surname is very unusual.
:
: Does anybody know about a Russill from England/USA going to Colombia two/three generations ago?
:
: Thanks in advance
: Diana
