I am Roberto Antonio Argueta, my daughter is studying in Belgium and she has been given the homework to tell about the origin af Argueta and I can't find anything about it. I live and was born in El Salvador but I remember my grandmother having said that her ancestors were from Guatemala. I remember also having seen in a map that near Amatitlan there is a village named Aldea Argueta.
I think this name is a variation of Arrieta or maybe Arteta.
Hope to hear something about this.
