My mother was born January 15, 1922 in Columbus,Ohio and was given up for adoption. She has a birth certificate that says the father was Joseph Artis, born in Havehill, Ohio about 1900 and that he died just before she was born. The mother is listed as Lydia Margery Evans, born in Dayton, Ohio about 1902.
She was named Clara Belle Evans.
If anyone has any information about her background it would mean a lot to her. She is 79 years old now and would really like to know some facts.
