: This chat area is reserved for the discussion of how to, who are, what ifs, why, etc., of the migration of phebus from europe and links to research in Europe. In conjunction with Hank we will be trying to tie the phebus line together, if possible. :-). I have documentation that proves that the Frederick, Maryland line had immigrated from Germany between 1790 and 1802. At this time I have been unable to find a passenger list to continue the search. I also have records from Germany that enumerates FIBUS to 1588, Primarily of the Katholic church. I have seen records in the Maryland Hall of Records that shows that George PHEBUS was TRANSPORTED around 1650. (Can't remember the exact date). George is the Progenitor of Hank's lineage. Maryland, at that time was a British colony and hosted the first British settlement in 1654. The Eastern Shore of Maryland was also reserved for the deportation of criminals from England during that time frame. So, we can ASSUME that George was from England. All this just raises more questions, who what where???? Geneolgy is not an easy hobby. If you can help us, or we can help you, this is the place to raise the questions and post the info. Thanks, Leonard
