Notes

Lewis Phoebus may or may not be the father of George T. Phoebus but comparing the data accumulated so far this assumption is made. Evidence is more solid that Polly and Lewis W. are children of Lewis Phoebus. There is speculation that Lewis Phoebus may be the son of George Phebus, III, born 1731, in poss. Somerset Co., Maryland, but there is no evidence as yet to back this up.
