---------------------------- Obit for JOEL CHARLES (J.C.) PHOEBUS: Services for Joel C. Phoebus, formerly of Whiteside, were held ay 1 p.m. Saturday in Waters Funeral Home at Vandalia. Mr. Phoebus, 77, died February 23, 1988 in Gamma Road Nursing Home in Wellsville. Born April 21, 1910, in Elsberry, he was the son of Joel B. and Effie (Pearl) Phoebus. Mr. Phoebus was a retired factory worker and a member of the Fire Baptized Holiness Church in Briscoe. Survivors include one sister Alice Cook of Hannibal. ------------------------------
