Obiturary newspaper clipping: Graveside services were held for Oma Alverta Morris Simpson February 14 in the Pettigrew Cemetery at Lupus MO. Barclay Simpson gave the eulogy for his mother. Mrs. Simpson, 71, died February 10, 1994, in Riverview Health Care Center at Boonville MO, where she had been a resident for several years. Born November 7, 1922, in Lincoln County MO, she was the daughter of Grace Phoebus Morris and William T. Morris. She attended the Elsberry schools, graduating from Elsberry High School in the Class of 1940. On March 5, 1950, she married, in Elsberry Methodist Church, to Dicky D. Simpson, who died February 10, 1971. Besides her parents, Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by a brother Milford Morris. Survivors include two sons, Barclay Simpson of Woolridge, MO and Richard Simpson of Lupus MO; nine grandchildren; one sister, Elsie M. Miller of Elsberry and two brothers, Warren Morris of Daly City, CA and Billy J. Morris of St. Louis. ----------------------------
