Obit for ELSIE MAE MORRIS: --------------------------- Hannibal Courier-Post Monday, April 13, 1998 Elsie Mae Miller ELSBERRY U Elsie Mae Miller, 82, of Elsberry, died April 11, 1998, at her home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. The Rev. George Whitney will officiate. Burial will be at Elsberry City Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was born Nov. 1, 1915, in rural Lincoln County to William T. and Grace Vivian Phoebus Morris. She was married to Charles Franklin Miller on Jan. 10, 1942, in Elsberry. He preceded her in death May 25, 1997. Survivors include one son, Stanley Miller of Old Monroe; two grandchildren, Devon Miller and Emma Miller, both of Old Monroe; and two brothers, Warren Morris of Daly City, Calif., and Bill (Joe) Morris of St. Clair. She was preceded in death by one brother, Milford Morris; and one sister, Oma Simpson. Mrs. Morris was a member of Elsberry United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Daughters of the New Century Federated Club in Elsberry. She was an active member of the Bridge Club. She was a 1933 graduate of Elsberry High School. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Elsberry United Methodist Church or the Joseph R. Palmer Family Memorial Library in Elsberry. Pallbearers will be Winston Bailey, Roger Pool, Michael Pool, John Palmer, Barclay Simpson and Richard Simpson. ------------------------------------------
